A common question I get from clients as they go through their gallery: “What exactly is metal wall art?? How is it different from photo prints?” Well if you’re wondering the same thing, then this blog post is for YOU…
Here is a 20×30 Metal Wall Print that I ordered of my own family!
So a bit about the print…
Metal Wall Art arrives at your door ready to hang! Lightweight and complete with a float mount hanger, it has holds built into its back allowing for you to easily hang it on a nail on the wall. This means no need to purchase additional frames or mattes to set off your artwork.
Metal is a unique art medium for preserving photos by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. Because the image is infused into the surface and not on it, your images will take on an almost magical luminescence.
Durable and Hygienic
Wonderfully, the ultra-hard scratch-resistant surface is waterproof/weatherproof and can be cleaned easily – just avoid direct sunlight. You’ve never seen a more brilliant and impressive print! Colors are vibrant and the radiance is breathtaking.
Prints AND Metal Wall Art: What about size?
Large photo prints are great for making a statement with your wall decor, or for creating a beautiful centerpiece for a gallery wall. I love mixing in large prints with smaller complementary ones in a collage wall!
When measuring for photography prints (not Metal Wall Art), remember to factor in the additional space for your picture’s frame and mat. Metal Wall Art will of course hang directly and not need this allowance.
If you plan on hanging just one print above your sofa, I recommend ensuring your finished hanging piece is more or less half the width of your couch.
Finally, I highly recommend you test your selected wall art size before ordering. An easy way to do so is to cut out some cardboard in your selected size and tape it to the wall where you plan to hang the photo / Metal Wall Art. If you don’t have cardboard, you can just tape together some construction paper. It’s a great visual way to confirm your selection before investing in your print!
