The kids and I walked along the lake at North Park yesterday. They were entranced with a dog fetching a ball in the water; I was distracted by the water itself. It was like there were two different worlds contained there, a calm rippling surface over a teeming hush below. I knew that a long moving exposure would be the best way to photograph it. This one is straight out of the camera.
